Week 2 High School Football Guide

Week 2 of the High School Football season is upon us! Here is the guide for the week!

On Thursday, the DeSoto Dragons took on the Perryville Pirates and got their first win of the season, 54-32. The Dragons will look to continue to improve next week against the North County Raiders.

The 1-0 Herculaneum Blackcats will travel to take on the 0-1 Fredericktown Blackcats. Fredericktown is searching for its first win with new Head Coach Cody Tipton. Coverage will be on the Dockins Sports Network and Froggy 96.

The 1-0 Charleston Blue Jays will travel to take on the 1-0 Potosi Trojans. The Trojans' defense did not allow any points in week one, and they hope to catch a big victory in week 2 against a strong Blue Jays team. Coverage will be on the Dockins Sports Network and 107.1 The Zone.

Valle Catholic travels to Rockwood Summit. The Warriors dominated in week one, but the Falcons had a thriller against the Festus Tigers. This is a big-time matchup between 2 really talented schools hoping to keep an undefeated season alive.

The 0-1 North County Raiders travel to Southern Boone to take on the Eagles. North County struggled offensively in Week One, not even reaching the end zone once in the game. The Raiders will hope to get back on track against a 1-0 Eagles team.

St. Genevieve takes on St. Vincent. Both teams had big week one victories; the Dragons blew out Dexter and the Indians in a tight thriller against DeSoto. St. Genevieve hopes to keep up the strong offense they had against the Bearcats in what is a great matchup.

Central had a rough Week 1 against Sikeston, as they have a matchup against the 0-1 Jefferson Blue Jays. The Rebels hope to get the offense moving against the Jays.

Farmington has its home opener against the Sullivan Eagles. Both teams blew out their opponents in Week One. This is gonna be a heavy-hitting matchup, as the Knights hope to win their home opener.
